Profile Details

The Profile Details section allows users to manage their personal account settings, including name, email, password, avatar, and account deletion.

Editable Profile Information​

  • Name – Users can update their display name at any time.
  • Email Address – Can be changed freely without verification.
  • Avatar – Optional; can be replaced or deleted, though it does not currently appear anywhere in CourseLayer.
  • Password – Users can update their password without being logged out of other active sessions.

Account Deletion​

  • Users can permanently delete their CourseLayer account from this section.
  • ⚠️ Important: Deleting an account is irreversible and will remove all associated data, including:
    • Courses
    • Students
    • Payment history
  • If the account owner (the original CourseLayer signup) deletes their account:
    • The entire organization and all its data will be removed.
  • A confirmation step is required before deletion to prevent accidental removal.

The Profile Details page is the default settings view when accessing the Settings section.
